Sellout Crowd Expected :) at 5:50 PM Thursday Feb 23 at WSA
The Bedford Bears secured a berth in the semi final game vs. archrival Westchester Vipers following a well-earned 3-0 shutout of the Rye Rangers by netminder Nicky Petrella. Stewart Fife scored twice, including an empty netter to secure the victory. Charlie Della Penna also tallied on a brilliant pass from Luke Baumgartner across the slot. The defense shut down the Rangers, allowing just 11 shots overall, with only 6 shots in periods 2 and 3. Nice job on D by Charlie Oestreicher, Stewart Fife, and Dylan Mutkoski. A strong forechecking effort was made all game by forwards Richard Fu, Henry Wallace, Gunnar Carlson, Lars Carlson, and Reed Putnam.
